Dr. Neeraj Bhalla

With a special interest in Complex Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular procedures, Dr. Neeraj Bhalla, is the Director and Senior Consultant of the Cardiology Department at the BLK Super Specialty Hospital in New Delhi. A graduate from the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune, Dr. Bhalla did his Post Graduation in Medicine from the same College and won the K.K. Gupta Gold Medal for achieving the first place in the Advanced Course. Later, he completed his DM (Cardiology) from the prestigious PGI in Chandigarh. An Ex-Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore, he was the Officer-in-charge of the Cardiac Cath Lab at the Army Hospital (RR), Director of the Cardiology Department at the Metro Heart Vascular Institute, and the Senior Interventional Cardiologist at the Max Heart & Vascular Institute. Dr. Bhalla was bestowed with Fellowships of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography/ Intervention & the Endovascular Society of India, and was awarded the Commendation by the Chief of Air staff (CAS) of the Government of India. He has successfully performed over 5000 Coronary Angioplasties and he is an expert in the use of various devices, such as, Thrombectomy Systems, Rotablator, Intra Vascular Ultrasound (IVUS), & Distal Protection devices used in Advanced Interventional procedures. He is adept in handling VSD/ASD/PDA Closures, Valvuloplasties, implanting Pacemakers including Biventricular, Dual Chamber, & AICD, and Carotid & Peripheral Interventions including Percutaneous Abdominal Aneurysm Repair with stent grafts. A seasoned professional, he has developed special techniques for performance of difficult PTMC’s. Dr. Bhalla is a member of various renowned organizations, including the Cardiological Society of India (CSI), and the SPAF Academy. A physician of national repute, he was invited as a faculty at the Cardiological Society of India Interventional Council Annual Conference, Singapore Live (Asia-Pacific PCR), India Live 2010/2011, CAD (Asia Interventional Meeting) Conference in Pune, and the ISIIC in Warsaw.
