Dr Rahul Bhargava is a leading transplant specialist and clinical hematologist. He is currently heading the Hematology and Transplantation Department at Fortis Hospital in Gurgaon. The department has its own transplantation unit and extensive laboratory facilities, providing cutting-edge clinical skills and latest technologies at affordable costs for transplantation and other hematological services.Dr Rahul Bhargava has done an initial two-year educational program at the Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore – a center famously known for the hematology and transplantation in India and later moved to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi for a formal three-year super specialist degree of DM in Clinical Hematology. Dr Rahul Bhargava completed his DM under the guidance of well-known teachers such as Prof. Rajat Kumar, Prof. VP Chaudhry, and Prof. Renu Saxena. Following this, he was selected for a fellowship in Vancouver in Canada, and underwent specific training program of voluntary and umbilical cord transplantation.Before Fortis, Dr Rahul Bhargava was working in Medanta Hospital and Artemis Hospital in Gurgaon as a transplant specialist and successfully completed 100 transplant in 36 months and till date. The doctor has performed around 200 adult transplants, a record-breaking figure North India.Dr Bhargava treats patients not only from all parts of India but also from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Africa, Iraq, and Russia, among others.
