Dr. Rajesh Puri

Dr. Rajesh Puri is currently the Director of Gastroenterology, Institute of Digestive and Hepatobiliary Sciences at Medanta Hospital Gurgaon. He has more than 2 decades of rich experience in the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. He completed his MBBS from SNM College, Jodhpur, the University of Rajasthan with Distinction in Forensic Medicine in 1994 and post-graduation in General Medicine in 1997. He completed his DNB in Gastroenterology from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi and was awarded Gold Medal by the Honorable President of India. Dr. Rajesh Puri is a trained specialist in endoscopy and has done specialization in Endoscopic Ultrasound, diagnostic and therapeutic diseases of digestive, liver and pancreatic-biliary. He has also attained the visiting fellowship in Endosonography University of Copenhagen, Denmark and Kitazato-East University Hospital, Japan. Dr. Rajesh Puri is actively involved in promoting health awareness via academics and research and has numerous publications and presentations to his credit. He is also the recipient of Young Investigator Award by APDW (Asian Pacific Digestive Week). Dr. Rajesh Puri is a pioneer of EUS in North India and an active member of Asian EUS Group and Governing Council of SGEI.
