Dr. Vivek Vij is the Director – GI Surgery and Liver Transplant at Fortis Hospital, Noida. After finishing his MBBS from B.J Medical college, Pune, he went on to pursuing an MS, DNB, and an MRCS degree from Edinburgh. Dr. Vij specialises in Acute Liver Failure, Liver Transplantation(Adult/Paeds), Pancreatic Surgery, Hepatobiliary, GI cancers, Pancreaticoduodenectomy , Minimal access surgery (Laparoscopic surgery), Paediatric Gastroenterology, Liver Resection surgeries for benign and malignant tumours, Biliary Injuries and Surgical gastroenterology. His memberships include International Hepato-Pancreatic-Biliary association (IHPBA) and International Liver Transplant Society (ILTS). He also has prestigious achievements such as & Roche- Preceptorship training program in liver transplantation held at University of Alabama, Birmingham, USA for which he was the only candidate to be selected from India in 2006 and Vivek Vij et al.
